Pai is a popular backpacker destination in the mountains. It is hot in the day (34 degrees today) and cool overnight (about 13 degrees at the moment). We are staying at Baan Pai Riverside and have a little bamboo hut over the river. Pete is very happy with his hammock on the balcony (especially when he discovered he could get the fan to work outside too).
There are great night markets on the “Walking Street” where you can try all kinds of food and snacks with only the odd moped trying to take you out. Today we wandered around the town and then just kick back at our place. Tomorrow we plan to take a moped and explore surroundings.
