So I (Pete) turned 50 in Aug 21 !!!! I don’t feel any older, my sliding southwards belly might disagree !! So due to covid restrictions we have been quite happy to spend time on the Isle of man doing the hobbies we love and saving some $$ for future trips when the world goes back to normal 🀞🀞

Had a coach trip around a few IOM pubs for my birthday which was a great laugh

Also went to a friends 60th party and another friends 50th wedding anniversary.

For me fun is all around 2 wheels followed by a beer.

Often without human power
Quick rest before the pub
Night ride by the coast
Van beers, the post lockdown new thing. Cheaper and easier to socially distance πŸ˜‰
3 hour enduro

For Janet, it mostly involves the sea, be it kayaking or swimming in it (without a wetsuit) πŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯Ά, walking, wheels and waffling as she goes.

Christmas eve dip

We even managed to leave The Rock a few times. I went for a mtb trip to the lake district (somewhere I’d never been and, even though I got drowned every ride, it was stunning and I will be back). Janet went on holiday to Pembrokeshire with her parents, which they all loved.

Agnesh mines, break mid hike or trial depending if you are Pete or Janet

And we both went to see Janet’s parents for a lovely Xmas with them and their friends (one of whom lent me a bike so I could burn off some turkey)

So here’s hoping 2022 brings as much fun in our hobbies and spending time with friends and family (on wheels, kayaks, in the sea, wherever it may be).
