The day after the exam was very exciting for me as I ventured out of Sun Peaks for the first time since we got here at the end of November. The nearest town is Kamloops which is an hour drive away and costs $40 each way by pre-booked shuttle or $180 each way by taxi. Hence us never making it there. But one of the guys on our snowboard course lives in Sun Peaks and was driving down to go shopping so I jumped at the chance to go. Who’d have thought that going to a mall, a supermarket and having a dirty burger in Wendy’s could be so exciting!!!!!!!
Five of us went in James’ truck and we absolutely filled the back with groceries. I did some shopping for others and spent so much that the supermarket gave me a gift hamper of four body washes and five hand soaps which I shared around !!!
