So this is Janet and I’m about to try to sum up my summer in a few paragraphs. We have actually had a really dry summer (making up for it since September) so there has been lots of sea swimming, kayaking, walking, and cycling on the island.
I had a lovely birthday with my swim buddies sitting on a hot beach, playing on SUPS and swimming – that never happens!
I was a kayaking model one evening for a Locate Isle of Man campaign along with Grace and Amy.
I had a lovely time when my folks came to the IOM. And then a fab few days in The Wirral with them.
Also had a great time with Louise, Pat, Eddie and the boys when they came to stay for a few days. The boys are growing up so quickly!
I also went to put my open canoe skills to the test on the River Eden in The Lake District. It was great fun, challenging but certainly nice to journey down the river.
I finished my work at Isle Listen and decided to make a career out of my passion for travelling. So I studied to become an Independent Travel Agent and launched Taylor Made Travel. I have booked a few holidays for clients already. It is so exciting when someone tells you their rough plans and you go away, research it and make it a reality. I love it!
I’ve always said when booking all of our Travel that getting everything to connect up can be like doing a big jigsaw puzzle and it is so satisfying when you get that last piece to fit. And who doesn’t love talking about holiday and travelling? It’s so exciting!
We decided not to travel abroad this summer – in light of flight delays and cancellations. We did have family come over from Oz though so a couple of trips to the UK was all that was needed. So great to see everyone.
But now- I think we both arw ready for a change of scenery for the winter (especially now it is raining A LOT!!!!). Watch this space…..
