Everywhere we travel we always seem to find food that we love and Cambodia is proving to be no exception. I love the salads (green mango and banana flower salad), Pete loves the Cambodian curry (a bit like a thai red curry), and the Amok is yummy.

So we decided to learn a bit more and went for a 2 hour cookery class at Molop Wat Damnak restaurant. We could each choose three courses so we picked some of our favourite savoury dishes plus tried a dessert each). Pete went for deep fried spring rolls, Cambodian curry and banana cream. I chose green mango salad, fish amok and mango with sticky rice.

Under the watchful eye of our chef, San, we slaved in the very hot and tiny kitchen (I am amazed how they can cook for 25 people in such a tiny space with so little work surface).

Here are the required ingredients for the Fish amok (plus the snake or dory fish).

And then we got to eat the fruits of our labour. YUM YUM!

And as it is nearly time to leave Siem Reap, our hotel left the following message (and cakes) on our bed last night. How cute!
